"Thanks so much for recognizing healthcare workers! As a nurse of 13 years, I’ve always cared for patients as if they were my own family. Not only am I a patient advocate but also a staff advocate. Nursing is such a demanding profession emotionally and mentally and I always encourage staff to practice self care. With the uncertainty of COVID-19, we are putting ourselves on the frontline caring for others. We are praying we don’t bring the virus home with us to our own family. My aunt is a nurse of 30+ years and is caring for our veterans sick with COVID-19. 💕She’s 50 years old and so is at risk herself to contract the disease, but still works tirelessly to care for others. 💕💕💕 Thank you!"
