Challenges of providing chemotherapy treatment during COVID-19.

"My coworkers and I are continuing to provide chemotherapy treatment to pediatric patients. At this time we are only allowing one caregiver with the patient per visit. This becomes difficult for the patients and their families as their normal support system has been disrupted. For these kids who are already undergoing life altering treatments are having a hard time. It is causing increased anxiety and them as well as their nurses are now required to be covered head to toe with only eyes showing. For pediatric patients this causes increased distress, which affects those around them often causing caregivers increased stress and anxiety as well. My coworkers and I do every thing we can to minimize the stress to these families.
