"My daughter is a front line worker who is sacrificing everything to serve the patients at her facility, it does however make our relationship very difficult to maintain as I am a cancer survivor with a very compromised immune system. We can no longer visit with one another due to her increased risk of exposure as a RN in a medical facility. I am very proud of her and her commitment to the service of others suffering illnesses and those in health crisis circumstances. Her birthday is next week and I was hoping to have been able to have her gift received by then but if the situation deems it necessary that her gift is delayed then so be it. I want to reach out to you to let you know I feel this offer your company made to front line workers was a beautiful gesture of appreciation and generosity and it made me proud to know there are those out there in the business community who recognize the sacrifice and contribution to society all front line workers are making at the continual daily risk to their health, safety and emotional well being. And not just at that of their own but at that of their families as well, we are truly all in this together for better or for worse. But it is through the support of one another that will determine the outcome of our current crisis and it is my belief that ultimately our humanity will prevail and that we will all learn to appreciate life and our loved ones so much more when it is all said and done. Thank you for financially assisting me, in blessing my daughter with a very high end gift that will allow her to fully enjoy her love and appreciation for music as she fights on the front lines daily to see that our fellow Americans can receive the best in health care as they navigate through the perilous pandemic.

Here are a couple recent pictures from a trip to San Francisco to see Elton John before the pandemic hit. It’s difficult having to visit via FaceTime or looking through pictures because we’re unable to be together as long as the virus rages through our country. So many families are directly affected by forced separations either due to illness or susceptibility to the virus because a family member is a front line hero. I can’t begin to tell you how precious my daughter, an only child, is to this father. She’s all I live for and knowing that she’s making a difference in the world through her sacrifice makes it all tolerable. She loves music and her breaks are opportunities for her to relax and unwind with her earbuds on playing her favorite music to soothe her soul while she prepares mentally to return to work to do her civic duty as an RN."
